Our Church in Worship:

Worship, praise and weekly communion bring our church family together. Join fellow believers, grow spiritually and enrich your faith each and every week.

Beginning November 23 (Thanksgiving Sunday) we will move from two Sunday morning worship services to one through the month of December.  Sunday School 9:00am  Sunday Morning Worship:  10:00am

Adult/Teen/Children's Classes

• U and I:  A group of dedicated ladies with a thirst for knowledge of God's word.  They apply their longevity of life experience to make Central a blessing to our community.
• Helpmates:  Uses quarterly materials provided from our national church. Composed of retired individuals and couples who have thought-provoking and innovative discussion on the Bible.
• Adventurers:  Biblical studies and discussion often reflect the class name.  Life, in the service of God, is an Adventure, full of possibilities and opportunities to share the blessing of God with others.
• New Horizons:  For those with "inquiring minds." Studies focus on God's word, real-life issues and theological application as well as personal spirituality and growth.
• Circle of Friends: Younger parents and singles.  Studies dealing with current issues, juggling family life and career while keeping God in focus.
• Sages: (Some Ancient Guys Exploring Scriptures/S.A.G.E.S) A men's bible class that often discusses more than the bible.
• High School (CYF):  Discussions center around how God wants us to live our lives, live together and make the most of the talents God blessed us with.
• Middle School (Chi-Rho): 6th-8th graders gather together to continue to develop their personal faith as well as learn more about the Bible, their church and their world.
• Elementary School:  Preschool classes for ages 2-5; Children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade meet together; and 3rd-5th graders meet together.
• Nursery: A nursery attendant is available during Sunday school and all services.

Music and Drama Ministries:

Chancel Choir:  Led by Vic Olmstead, Director of Music Ministries, this group of talented individuals bless and inspire our congregation weekly.  Practices are every Wednesday at 6:30pm.

Children's Choir:  Led by Carrie Mapel, children from pre-school through 5th grade share their talents twice monthly during worship services. Practices are every Wednesday from 6:00-6:45pm.

Praise Band:  Our praise band leads our worship in contemporary music and praise on the 2nd and 5th Sundays each month.  It's a little bit of rock and roll music and a whole lot of fun!

Chalice Casting Company:  Each spring a three night dinner theatre is held with this group of "want to be Broadway stars."


Specialized Ministries and Programs:

Disciples Men's Fellowship:  The men of the church come together for breakfast the first Sunday of the month.  The DMF is involved in ministries that impact our community, district and region.

Disciple Women's Fellowship: Several different groups meet regularly for spiritual growth, enrichment, education, and creative ministries.

Prayer Group:  This dedicated group join together every Monday at 9:00am to lift up prayers, joys and concerns.


Youth and Children's Ministries:

CYF (Christian Youth Fellowship):  For high school youth, meets weekly to share in fellowship, friendship and fun.

Chi-Rho:  Middle school age, 6th-8th grades, meets weekly to work on community projects and fundraisers.

JYF (Junior Youth Fellowship):  Kindergarten-5th grades have their own special time of fun and fellowship.
